Kristina Latonio-Wilson was born and raised in a small town in New Jersey. She graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and a minor in Psychology. During her research work at the Rutgers Department of Toxicology, Kristina soon learned she loved being in the classroom more than a research lab. In 2008, She ventured across the country to San Diego and went back to school to earn her teaching credential and Master’s in Secondary Education Curriculum. Since 2010, she has taught 7th and 8th grade science, high school Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Science. Along with teaching science, Kristina has also been a dance instructor for 14 years. In 2013, Kristina took a two year sabbatical to teach high school Chemistry and Biology in Panyu, China where her passion for traveling the globe was ignited. Now, she is excited to be part of the HTH Mesa team and passionate in helping her students understand and appreciate the physical world around them. Kristina loves traveling, exploring nature, being active, and spending time with her husband and baby girl.
